In our first sweater class of the season we’ll take on the ever classic, fun to knit, addicting pattern: the Stonecrop Cardi by Andrea Mowry. We’ll take our time and knit through the spring in this class that covers neck adjustments for the perfect fit, tackling colorwork for perfect tension, and of course, securing and steeking your sweater (we do mean cutting it right in half!). By taking this class you’ll be eligible to participate in our Steek-a-long which will include some awesome prizes. If you’ve never steeked before we are happy to have you!
You’ll Learn:

How to adjust a neckline that is too wide or too high in the front, and how to spot it too!

How to maintain consistent tension in colorwork.

Colorwork dominance, how to make your complementary color pop!

How to make baubles - either knit or crochet - it’s up to you.

Picking up underarm stitches without any gaps.

Securing the steek with knit or crochet.

Picking up stitches for the button band with proper spacing.

Finishing techniques.
Skills Required:

Basic knitting skills including: increases, decreases, and short rows. Experience in sweater construction and crochet is helpful though not necessary.
Materials Needed:

Yarn purchased from Seed Stitch Store according to pattern specifications.

Needles according to pattern specifications.

Pattern cost/printing included in class cost.
Class Date & Time: Thursdays January 9, February 20, and March 27 from 6 - 8 pm
Homework: Cast-on and knit ribbing in order to start shaping the neck, colorwork, and baubles in class.
