The textured body is an easy to memorize pattern, and works up quick with worsted weight yarn and US 8 needles. Come check out the sample in store knit up with Farmer’s Daughter’s Fiber Recollect Worsted. We'll send the pattern by Maxim Cyr to your Ravelry before class starts and have a printed copy of the pattern ready for you at the first class.

You’ll learn:

  • How to fit a sweater to your body and get a fabric you like
  • Tubular cast on/off for nice, seamless finishes
  • Working short rows (German short rows are recommended, though other methods will be discussed)
  • Learning the form of raglan sweater - this is a great first sweater class!
  • Picking up stitches under the arm without holes

 

Skills Required:

  • Basic knowledge of knit/purl stitches
  • This is a great first sweater class!

Materials needed, to be purchased from Seed Stitch:

  • Needles: US 6, and US 8 circular
  • Yarn: Aran/Worsted weight check ravelry pattern page for yardage
  • Extras: stitch markers, waste yarn, tapestry needle

Class Dates & Times: February 29th, March 14th, and April 4th, 6:00-8:00pm

Homework: Come to class with a gauge swatch done and ready to cast on!
