Project Description:

In this workshop, you will create a granny square bag using the Retro Flower Power square. We’ll go over the basics of crochet in the round and introduce some new techniques, such as overlay crochet and shell stitches. You will also learn how to seam granny squares together.  Pattern cost is included and we will have the pattern for you when class starts.

Required Materials:

DK weight cotton yarn:  200 grams of main color and 100 grams each of 2 or 3 other colors.

4 mm crochet hook, or size to achieve gauge

Tapestry needle 

Scissors

Instructor Bio: Kristin Baird has been knitting and crocheting for over 2 decades. She has a passion for learning and has advanced her skills to include lace making and aran cables. Kristin also enjoys sewing, baking, paper craft and basically anything that gets her creative juices flowing. Beyond running her craft business, Hey Kitty Rae, and attending markets, she also teaches AutoCAD for Interior Designers at SLCC.
