My First Raglan Sweater Class
- Description
This approachable sweater by Jared Flood is worked in the round, with no seams or assembly required. And even better, its top-down construction means you can try it on as you go to ensure it fits just right. We’ll discuss customizing to adapt for the sleeve and body fit that you want! Mix and match design elements, at striping or some subtle texture and find your stride in sweater knitting.
This three-time class covers a lot! In the first week we’ll discuss how to make a swatch, check gauge, and why it might be a good thing if your gauge isn’t right on. Just a week later we’ll be ready to discuss short rows, how they work, how to best manage them, and common pitfalls when giving shaping to your sweater. In our last class, we’ll discuss picking up underarm stitches with no holes(!), finishing techniques, blocking, and casting off. You’ll love your finished project, a timeless design that you can wear anytime!
