This fun and funky sweater by Jessie Maed will be fun to knit! Several makers have expressed concern about the high neck on the original pattern, but significant time will be spent on learning how to bring down the front neck for a comfortable fit that you’ll want to wear again and again. This is a skill that you can take to other patterns and will give you the confidence to improvise to improve fit. Join our resident @knittymathematician (Christy Taylor) and learn about gauge and fit and how to make a garment that you love. This sweater will be worked during our spring colorwork KAL, and finishing it will make you eligible to enter to win special KAL prizes.

What You'll Learn:

  • Bottom-up raglan construction
  • Tubular cast on/off for nice, seamless finishes
  • Master colorwork
  • German short rows
  • Working a neckline that fits and gives shape to your body (rather than trying to look good and breathe in a rectangle garment :/)

Skills Required: A basic understanding of how short rows work and how to do them, while this is not a great pattern for someone starting on sweaters, it is a great chance to practice your colorwork skills!

Class Dates & Times: February 21, March 13, March 27, & April 10 6:00-8:00 pm

Homework: Purchase your yarn at Seed Stitch & get a gauge swatch finished and blocked before the first class.  The pattern will be sent to your Ravelry & a printed pattern will be provided the first day of class.
