Crochet Apple Coasters

One of the best things about the art of crochet is the structure of the fabric, which is why it is the perfect medium for coasters. Create this lovely little set of apple shaped coasters that can double as a toy for busy little hands.

What You’ll Learn:

• Crochet in the round

• Changing colors in the round

Project Description:

We’ll be making the Sliced Apple Coaster Set by Hooked on Patterns. The pattern will need to be purchased by each student before class.

Materials to Purchase at Seed Stitch:

1 Skein of worsted weight cotton yarn in cream or white, desired apple color, and leaf color.  We will be holding this double.

Size G crochet hook*

Tapestry needle 

*This size hook is smaller than recommended for worsted yarn, however it will create a tighter fabric which will help prevent moisture from reaching a tabletop.

Skills Required:

• Basic crochet

Homework:

Purchase pattern and have available on iphone or tablet, before class starts.
